Wind? Gas? Tummy pains?

I have run out of ideas on what I could do.

My baby has woken up again in pain.

We’ve tried the legs cycling, rubbing his lil belly in the I Love U method, gave him Infant’s Friend before a feed, changed his formula, eliminate known common gassy foods from my diet.  He was fine for one night when he slept for 5 hours straight and not waking up every 1-3 hours in pain.  Then last few nights he was able to go back to sleep.  Now he’s back to waking up in pain.

It’s horrible watching him in so much pain.  I said to my partner the other day.  One doesn’t know what real pain is until you see your own child in pain.

  1. I had the same problem with my boy….what helped me was being on top of his burping after feelings, I wouldn’t relent until I had at least 2 good burps out of him, if he did end up with gas, cycle the legs, then push under his knees up as far as they’ll go towards his face…to the left right center. Pretty soon he should start to sound like a musical instrument with a smile on his face. I used to do it before feedings and before bed. Not after a feeding, or he’ll spit up. Hope this helps!

    1. Thanks mama! I’ve been doing what you suggested (bar the 2 burps … we get 1 burp haha). It just seems the pains are worse in the middle of the night when he gets woken up by them 😦 I’ll keep at them though.
Thanks so much for your support. 🙂
